Location

4 Days of Aloha Cultural Workshops are held at Clark College - Gaiser Hall in Vancouver, Washington. 1933 Fort Vancouver Way Vancouver, WA 98663

 Schedule

  • 8:00AM Doors Open - Check In and Registration will open. Be sure to come early to ensure you are mākaukau by opening
  • 9:00AM  Opening  - Meet this years Kumu and join us as we being the day with oli and pule.
  • 9:30AM - 11:45AM Morning Workshops - Participants should have confirmation email with QR ready to check-in upon arrival to their designated classroom/workshop
  • 11:45AM Lunch - Bring your own lunch or pre-order one of our ʻono lunch bentos that will be available for pickup after morning workshop. We will have music during the lunch hour.
  • 12:45 - 3:00PM Afternoon Workshops - Participants should have confirmation email with QR ready to check-in upon arrival to their designated classroom/workshop
  • Join us at Welcome Pāʻina on Thursday 7/23 from 5:00 - 9:00pm - Dress in your best aloha wear and unwind at a Hawaiian style party featuring live Hawaiian music, impromptu hula, ʻono food, cold drinks, and lots of fun! The Pāʻina is held at Esther Short Park.
  • Join us for Hōʻike on Saturday 7/25 - Workshop participants are invited and encouraged to join their workshop Kumu and classmates to present their learnings at the 4 Days of Aloha Hōʻike on Saturday.  Purchase your Hōʻike ticket here.

Tips on Registration 

  • One person per registration. If you are registering for your keiki, student, etc. you will need to complete a separate registration for them. When completing your own registration, you will have an option to add another registrant after completing yours.
  • There is limited space in each workshop. We highly suggest registering for the workshop you want to take as soon as possible. 
  • 4DA offers 4 blocks of workshops total, with 2 blocks of workshops offered each day
  • Participants may register for 1 workshop per block, up to 4 workshops total over the 2 days
  • The date and time of workshops offered will be listed at the top of each page.
  • To register, click the "REGISTER" button next to the workshop you are wanting to register for. When the button turns red, you have successfully placed that workshop in your "cart". 
  • Before completing payment, please go back and double check the correct workshops have been selected and no unwanted workshops were accidentally selected.

Waitlist

  • We are unable to manage a waitlist at this time. 
  • All updates and openings for sold out workshops will be posted on instagram @4daysofaloha.

Pricing

  • Workshop costs will increase by $5 on July 19th and an additional $5 on the day of workshops.
  • There will be a $10 change fee for each change made to your registration so please double check your selections.
  • NO REFUNDS. No exceptions.

Guidelines

  • Hula workshop participants must have previous formal hula training, knowledge of basic hula steps, and the current ability to learn and perform at the level they are registering for. 
  • "All Level" Hula Workshop(s) is not an introduction to hula. Participants must understand basic hula terms and be able to perform basic hula steps.
  • If a kumu hula determines you are not in the appropriate class level, you may be asked to make an alternative selection at that time. 
  • Hula workshop participants must be dressed in appropriate hula practice attire (pāʻū or pareo for women, comfortable shorts for men)
  • Please bring all required supplies and/or hula implements to your workshop. 
  • Only registered participants may enter the workshop.
  • No videotaping during the workshop unless permitted by Kumu.
