Aloha mai kākou,

On behalf of the entire Ke Kukui Foundation ʻohana, it is with deep aloha and pride that I welcome you to this year’s 4 Days of Aloha Cultural Workshops—a gathering that celebrates the spirit, artistry, and resilience of our people.

Whether you’ve come to dance hula, craft with your hands, or simply reconnect with the heartbeat of Hawaiian culture, know that your presence is part of something greater. These workshops are more than just lessons—they are living legacies, carried forward by the voices and hands of our kumu hula, cultural practitioners, and community.

As Executive Director, it is a personal honor to carry on the vision of my late mother, Aunty Deva Yamashiro, who dedicated her life to creating spaces where Hawaiians and our extended community could celebrate our heritage with pride—right here in the Pacific Northwest. Today, with the help of our hardworking team, that dream continues to thrive.

You are invited to learn, grow, and connect in ways that are both deeply personal and collectively powerful. Whether you’re a first-time participant or a returning member of our workshop ʻohana, we invite you to approach this experience with open hearts, open minds, and a deep respect for the ʻike being shared. If you havenʻt already, please learn more about our Kumu at 4daysofaloha.com

Mahalo for joining us. We can’t wait to dance, laugh, create, and celebrate alongside you this summer.
